Ed Federkeil to appear as guest builder on Discovery Channel's highest rated show

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL.--- (October 17, 2003)- Ed Federkeil, owner of California Custom Sport Trucks in Fort Lauderdale, will appear as a guest builder on the Discovery Channel's highest rated show Monster Garage. In the show, which airs Monday November 10th at 9 PM and Midnight, Federkeil joins legendary motorcycle builder Jesse James to transform a 2004 Cadillac Escalade ESV into the ultimate Super Bowl tailgate vehicle.

Monster Garage, which replays on Saturday November 15th at 9 PM and Midnight, is a hit show where master auto mechanics team up with James to convert ordinary cars into extraordinary machines.

Federkeil builds luxury autos and SUV conversions for celebrity clientele including: Miami Dolphins lineback Junior Seau; wrestler, actor and former Miami Hurricane "The Rock"; Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor; Miami Dolphins Running Back Ricky Williams; Florida Marlins pitchers Brad Penny and AJ Burnett; Boston Red Sox players Manny Ramirez and Kevin Millar; and Travis Best, Dallas Mavericks point guard.

Federkeil partners with General Motors and Ford Motor Company on concept vehicles and builds feature vehicles for the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA). Federkeil spends his days as a fire lieutenant for the Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue Division. He is a 20-year veteran assigned to the hazardous materials team. He established California Custom Sport Trucks in 1994 after deciding to bring the style and customization of vehicles on the West Coast to the East Coast. California Custom Sport Trucks quickly rose to become South Florida's premier custom truck builder and is partly credited with bringing the lowered look back to South Florida. The business was expanded to include a retail store with installation center, specializing in lifts, lowering, wheels and tires, and performance upgrades.
